When did you first see hummingbirds in your area?

I selected June, but it might have been May. Don't see them often, though, maybe a couple times a year.
And mostly in August.

Did you say you lived across the pond in the U.K. ?
Also, do you have the Ruby Throated Hummingbird like in the States?

Actually, I'm in New Joisey. Fellow forum member "kingcong" lives in the UK.
As far as I know, the Ruby Throated Hummingbird is the only one I've seen.

Actually, I'm in New Joisey. Fellow forum member "kingcong" lives in the UK. As far as I know, the Ruby Throated Hummingbird is the only one I've seen.
I live in West Virginia and we are fortunate enough to have a fairly long season of the ruby throated hummingbirds. They are darling little creatures and many people here hang feeders for them.

Without looking it up, I'm fairly sure they make a long migration across the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico when it starts to get cool/colder here.
