I definitely have a finite capacity to understand chemistry, lol.
Hank Green is always good, though.
My understanding only goes so far also. I took Chemistry 101 and 102 (totaling 8 college hours since they had labs with them).
I'll continue posting the videos until I read a point where I can't understand what's going on myself. I wouldn't ask anyone to try to comprehend something or discuss something that I, myself, can't also understand.
In saying that. I thought these first 2 videos were fairly simple. And yet, he says that you just learned more about Chemistry than they knew in the year 1900! I also like the fact that he said Chemistry or the Atomic structure is a theory, but in Science, a theory is more than just a "guess." In Science, a theory is a well tested idea or set of ideas - like Gravity and Evolution are theories. I'll make a post, perhaps in the General section here, how there are many many theories in Science that are well tested and proven. The only thing I can think of that is more tested and proven than a theory is a Scientific law. It was also interesting to view that Einstein himself proved that atoms exist, with his math, and put all the debate to rest whether or not atoms exist.
